Speaker:

Hello and welcome to the

spacious scaling podcast.

2

:

I am really excited to be finally

sharing this episode with you.

3

:

It has been something that has

been on my vision board and my

4

:

to do list for a very long time.

5

:

And to be completely honest with

you, I have been just too much of

6

:

a perfectionist to give it a go

when I didn't feel fully prepared.

7

:

And like I had enough to say, but

here we are, I'm doing the finally.

8

:

And I wanted to take some time to record

this episode as A little bit of an

9

:

introduction and I really want to dive

into the concept of spacious scaling,

10

:

which of course is the name of the podcast

and why I am so passionate about this

11

:

concept and this movement and give you

a little bit of information on myself.

12

:

So here we go.

13

:

If you are new to my world or you

don't really know much about my work

14

:

and my business, then I want this to

be the place where you can get some

15

:

of that foundational information.

16

:

And I'm also gonna try and keep it

nice and short because if you are

17

:

anything like me, you probably just

wanna like dive in and start listening

18

:

to the content and the actual episodes.

19

:

But yeah, I wanted to provide

an introduction first, and

20

:

I guess my intention with

this podcast episode is that.

21

:

You will listen to this first episode

and really get a feel for if this is

22

:

going to be a place that is going to

provide some valuable content for you.

23

:

And it's going to be worth you spending

your precious time listening to.

24

:

And yeah, I really hope that it is.

25

:

So let's begin by touching on this

concept, this idea of spacious scaling,

26

:

which is a term that I have come up

with to encompass this movement that

27

:

I'm really passionate about leading

in my business and the way that I am

28

:

passionate about doing business as well,

because to me, spacious scaling is the

29

:

act of intentionally growing and scaling

our business, our income, our impact

30

:

all in a way that feels really good.

31

:

spacious and grounded.

32

:

And it isn't going to lead to us feeling

burnt out and resenting our business and

33

:

building something that we actually hate.

34

:

And I know that that can

actually be really easy.

35

:

Like one moment, you've got this

idea to start this business.

36

:

And then before you know it,

you can be running this thing.

37

:

That isn't what you want, right?

38

:

Like you probably started your business

because you didn't want to work in quote

39

:

unquote, the normal world in a normal

nine to five, You wanted freedom, you

40

:

wanted flexibility, you wanted that

different kind of stability that comes

41

:

with being in control and running your

own business, but you could possibly find

42

:

yourself either already there, like going

down the path of running a business that

43

:

feels similar to what you were trying

to avoid and escape in the first place.

44

:

And I think it can be

really common to do that.

45

:

And really, Easy to find

ourselves on that path.

46

:

And I know myself, I have definitely

found myself running my business before

47

:

in a way that didn't feel good to me.

48

:

And it wasn't that I.

49

:

Didn't feel like I was being intentional.

50

:

It's just that things can kind of snowball

and We end up there before we know it.

51

:

And so whether you're listening to this

episode and you You can relate and you

52

:

are like balls deep in a business right

now That feels like absolute shit to

53

:

run or maybe you can feel yourself going

down that path Or maybe you're just

54

:

really conscious of not ever ending up

there You I just want you to know that

55

:

like you are not alone and so many more

people than you know have probably found

56

:

themselves in that similar situation.

57

:

And so what spacious scaling really

means to me is building and growing a

58

:

business that does not feel like that.

59

:

And still being a business that is

capable of holding the amount of

60

:

clients and the amount of income that

you truly desire in order to live the

61

:

life that you really want to live.

62

:

Because I think there's

can be this idea and this.

63

:

This concept that you need to like

work really hard and commit all of

64

:

this like time and energy into your

business in order to see success.

65

:

And whilst I don't think that

is really like is untrue, like

66

:

building a business is hard.

67

:

It does take time.

68

:

It does take energy and

it does take effort.

69

:

I think there is a way that

we can experience that.

70

:

While still being really intentional,

intentional about the way we are doing

71

:

business and, you know, making sacrifices

from a place of like conscious choice

72

:

and intention and committing ourselves

to the bigger picture rather than running

73

:

ourselves down in a business that feels

like absolute shit and that we're not

74

:

taking intentional action in and making

sure that we're doing the other things

75

:

in our life that make those sacrifices.

76

:

Manageable.

77

:

Right.

78

:

And of course, I think that journey and

that experience is going to look different

79

:

and play out differently for everyone.

80

:

And I guess something that I also

want to touch on here, especially as

81

:

I'm talking about the idea of scaling

and intentionally making more money

82

:

in your business is I really don't

think there is any shame and anything

83

:

wrong with wanting to make money in

your business and make a lot of money.

84

:

And I feel like this is important

to say because especially if your

85

:

work is centered around providing

impact and you feel like what you

86

:

do in your business is like part of

your soul work and it's really deep.

87

:

Yeah, maybe like more spiritual work,

you're a healer of some sort, you

88

:

work in like a wellness modality.

89

:

It can sometimes be really easy

to think that what we are doing

90

:

is for the good of everyone else.

91

:

And that we shouldn't care about

the money or like we can't care

92

:

about helping other people whilst

also like making lots of money.

93

:

And I really just want you to know

that this is like a safe space and

94

:

that this is a place where it is okay

to care about making a lot of money.

95

:

And that doesn't mean that it takes

away from the integrity or the depth of

96

:

the work that you do with your clients.

97

:

And.

98

:

Yeah, I know for myself and like

the people that I attract, it is

99

:

really about the both and right.

100

:

It's about growing a business that

is really supportive of ourselves

101

:

and our lifestyle and allows us

to be fully present in our offline

102

:

life, whilst also deeply caring

about the work that we do and the

103

:

transformation that we offer our clients.

104

:

And so this , spacious scaling

movement is about being able to enjoy.

105

:

The whole process even when it means

that we are stretching ourselves

106

:

and feeling challenged in that

process of growing and scaling.

107

:

We are doing it in a way that feels

really good and nourishing to ourselves.

108

:

And so something else that I want

to touch on here is that I am really

109

:

passionate about simple business.

110

:

Like if your vision is to have like a

really, big business to scale to like,

111

:

you know, multi seven figures with a

big team and lots of offers and lots

112

:

of stuff going on and like have this

complicated business model, then this

113

:

is not going to be the space for you.

114

:

And I'm not the person for you

because that way of business

115

:

does not interest me in any way.

116

:

And that's not to say that

there's anything wrong with it.

117

:

It's just not the way that I, I'm I'm

interested in doing business, and I know

118

:

that for myself and for the people that

I work with, what is likely to be the

119

:

truth is that you want to build a business

that is maybe going to be generating

120

:

To low to mid multi six figures.

121

:

You want to have a lean team, simple

operations and have a business that is

122

:

set up to support you to do the work that

you really love in a way that feels good

123

:

for you and for your family, for your

lifestyle, and you know, Have a business

124

:

that has the systems and processes that

mean that you don't always need to be on.

125

:

You don't need to be constantly

creating and chasing the next thing.

126

:

You can be really content and

have a spacious life, do all the

127

:

things you love whilst also having

a wildly profitable business.

128

:

Enjoyable and scalable business and so

that is my definition of spacious scaling

129

:

and what I am really passionate about

supporting other women in business to

130

:

achieve in their own businesses and I

do that through supporting them with

131

:

business strategy launch strategy.

132

:

Offer creations and the systems and

operations and having all of the things

133

:

that we need to have set up in our

business to ensure that it is running

134

:

like an actual business, not a hobby

that is demanding every ounce of our

135

:

spare time and energy and requires you

to like show up live and do everything

136

:

in order for it to run smoothly.

137

:

I'm sorry.

138

:

I honestly think that my gift is being

able to see the bigger picture and see all

139

:

of the things that need to happen in order

to reach our goals and to get things done.

140

:

Done and being able to find the

most efficient pathway for someone

141

:

to get there based on their values,

their desires, their circumstances,

142

:

their strengths, and their skillset.

143

:

And I think that is very true and

reflective of my human design as well.

144

:

I have been leaning into learning

a lot more about myself through

145

:

the lens of human design lately.

146

:

And if you're interested in this, I am

a three, five self projected projector.

147

:

I have a very open chart.

148

:

I only have two defined centers in my

chart, which is my throat and my G center,

149

:

my identity center, which I also think

is a reason why this podcast is going

150

:

to be really pivotal for me is to have

this channel that I can use my voice in

151

:

and to speak like my throat is one of

my only defined centers in human design.

152

:

And I find a lot of clarity comes through

when I'm able to speak and use my voice.

153

:

So.

154

:

Yeah.

155

:

And I think also being a three, five,

like being able to have a space where I

156

:

can share my experiences with you, what I

have found that has worked and not worked.

157

:

And yeah, I'm just really excited to

use this podcast to support myself

158

:

in sharing this movement of spacious

scaling with you and to really simplify

159

:

the process of growing and scaling your

business, because I definitely feel like

160

:

we can overcomplicate things sometimes.

161

:

We can look at what everyone else

is doing and feel like we need to

162

:

be doing the same things in order

to get to that level of success.

163

:

And very often that would lead

to us either doing things before

164

:

we're ready, doing things that just

aren't right for us and the person

165

:

that we are, or like skipping steps

that are really important to us.

166

:

Putting the foundations

down for our growth.

167

:

And so that is what I really want to

use this platform for is to share my

168

:

experiences, my thoughts, my knowledge

around business and everything that

169

:

I have learned in the last almost

five years of both running my own six

170

:

figure business and also supporting

other women in their business and men.

171

:

I do work with one male client.

172

:

And it's Yeah, I've supported

my clients to achieve really

173

:

incredible results in their business.

174

:

And so I feel like coming from

this background of working with my

175

:

clients in such an intimate capacity,

I have primarily been working as

176

:

an online business manager for

the last four and a half years.

177

:

Which means I've been like their right

hand person that supports them in taking

178

:

their visions and grounding it into the

3D and making it actually come to life.

179

:

And so being an OBM, and at least the

way that I have worked as an OBM, I am

180

:

like right in their business, right?

181

:

I know their business as

well as I know my own.

182

:

And so it means that I have been able to

see, you know so much see all of these

183

:

experiences, different strategies and

ideas play out for different people.

184

:

And I think.

185

:

That experience alongside my own

design and my experience running my own

186

:

business is really powerful to be able

to support other women in business.

187

:

And yeah, in the new ways that I want to

show up and like new offers that I want

188

:

to be creating, I'm really excited to

be able to harness all of my experience

189

:

and change some of the things that

I'm doing in business and offer new

190

:

things, which is really exciting to say.

191

:

Because I definitely feel like there has

been a pull in the last little while to

192

:

change up the way that I'm working and

to start introducing some new offerings,

193

:

which has actually been a really

natural progression because over the

194

:

last couple of years I have, alongside

my OBM services, Also been supporting

195

:

clients in a more like strategic business

coaching capacity, providing them

196

:

strategy, launch strategy, like feedback

on their marketing and their copy and

197

:

those sorts of things behind the scenes.

198

:

And I have felt really recognized for my

insights in that space, which obviously

199

:

as a projector is so important and kind

of provides a bit of a, What can I say?

200

:

I don't know, like a light bulb

moment of like a ping to follow.

201

:

So yeah, I just feel like I have the

skills to be able to like ask the right

202

:

questions and provide the right feedback

to help people get really clear on what

203

:

it is that they're doing in business.

204

:

And so all of that so far, right.

205

:

Has been happening behind.

206

:

the scenes.

207

:

And I feel like now is really the

time where I want to start taking

208

:

action on moving those things into

how I present my business publicly

209

:

and creating new offers around that.

210

:

And yeah, I'm just really excited to have

new ways to support women in business,

211

:

to give them the frameworks and the

processes and the support that they need

212

:

to reach the results that they want.

213

:

In a really tangible way, right?

214

:

Because I think that is my gift being

able to ground things into the 3D.

215

:

It's like, cool, you have this huge

vision, lots of ideas, and I'm really

216

:

able to like pull that down into a plan,

into a process that's going to work for

217

:

them and be supportive of all of the other

things that they have going on in life.

218

:

And so, I'm really excited to be able

to use this podcast as a way to do that.

219

:

And I'm really excited that you're going

to be here along for the ride with me.

220

:

So I think that is kind of a perfect

time to wrap up this first episode.

221

:

I'm feeling like that is.

222

:

Complete.

223

:

I might've gone on a little ramble there.

224

:

Thank you so much for tuning in and

I'm excited to hear your feedback,

225

:

hear any thoughts that you have from

listening to the first lot of episodes.

226

:

And I guess what you can expect

from this podcast moving on from

227

:

here is going to be weekly episodes.

228

:

That is at least what I'm

committing to at the moment.

229

:

And if I'm going to be completely

honest with you, that does feel

230

:

a little bit challenging because.

231

:

I often feel like I go through these

periods where I don't feel like

232

:

I have much to say, I don't have

any unique thoughts or ideas, and

233

:

I know that that is not the case.

234

:

And it is probably just the fact that

I have so much openness in my chart.

235

:

Like I have an open mind.

236

:

I don't have consistent access to

knowing those like ideas and thoughts.

237

:

And yeah, that means that committing to

a weekly episode where I have to create

238

:

new content and show up and create new

episodes does feel a bit challenging,

239

:

but it also feels like a challenge

that I really want to commit myself to.

240

:

And.

241

:

You know, even though there might be

times when I feel like I have nothing

242

:

to say, I'll just start talking and

I know that something will come up.

243

:

So I might just need like a bit of an

energetic clear out or whatever, but

244

:

anyway, besides the point, we're going

to go with weekly episodes and yeah,

245

:

thank you so much again for tuning in

and I'm excited to dive deeper with you.
